AviFauna is Scandinavia’s largest and oldest bird tour operator. With nearly 40 years of experience, we meet all EU legal requirements for our trips. We are also the only Swedish bird tour operator that is a member of The Swedish Association of Tour Operators. Our tour leaders—many of whom are biologists—are among Sweden’s most experienced birders.

We welcome English-speaking guests on our worldwide group trips. All our tour leaders and most of our guests speak English. We translate bird names and essential parts of the program for you. Just contact us if you’re considering joining one of our high-quality trips. We always run small groups of 5-12 people. We arrange trips in Sweden for groups of at least four people, with a minimum duration of five days. Take a look at our itineraries [link] for inspiration! Bring your own guide or hire one from us. All our guides are well-connected in the birding community and carry bird alerts to ensure nothing is missed on a Swedish trip.

If you’re traveling solo, feel free to contact our office—we’ll check if one of our tour leaders is available to assist you with guiding and planning. All our tour leaders can guide and correspond in English and Scandinavian languages, some even in German, French or Spanish.
